6:30 to 8 p.m. A new crafting group for people who have experience levels from beginner to advanced takes place at Craig Christian Church, 960 W. Victory Way. Call Mary Davis at 629-2578.
7 p.m. Fellowship Group of Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 419 Yampa Ave. Call 326-6646.
7 p.m. The Tea Party Patriots meet at the American Legion Post 62, 1055 Moffat County Road 7. The event is open to the public to come and share ideas about current political issues.
7 p.m. Holistic Health & Fitness, 420 Breeze St., hosts an orientation for a kid’s boxing program. Parents need to attend if they would like their children to participate. The program is for youths 10 to 17 years old. Call Karrie Booth at 824-4700.
7 to 9 p.m. Celebrate Recovery meets at 1150 W. Ninth St. The group is designed to help people overcome hurts, habits and hang-ups. Child care is provided, and late-comers are welcome. Call 824-5926.
Saturday, June 6
7:30 a.m. The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office hosts its annual Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament at Yampa Valley Golf Course, 2179 Highway 394. The fee for the tournament is $40 per player or $160 per team. Call Rick Holford at 826-2308.
8 to 10:30 a.m. The annual Huck Finn Fun Fishing Day takes place at Loudy-Simpson Park pond. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4265 and Ladies Auxiliary are sponsoring the event. The event is open to children 1 to 12 years old. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and fishing begins at 8:30 a.m. Gift certificates and prizes will be given out. There is also a Huck Finn and Becky Thatcher costume contest.
