1 p.m. Routt County Conservation District, in conjunction with the Routt County Weed Advisory Board, will hold its annual meeting at Yampa River State Park. The cost is $10 at the door.

7:30 p.m. The Craig City Council meets in City Hall.

Wednesday, June 29

1 p.m. The Craig Branch of the Moffat County Libraries will host “Survivor: Dragon Island Challenge,” part of the summer reading program. The event includes a number of games for children.

7 p.m. The Memorial Hospital Board of Directors meets in the Visiting Nurse Association Board Room.

Thursday, June 30

5 p.m. The community is invited to a gathering from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Craig Chamber of Commerce to say goodbye to former director Cathy Vanatta and to meet new director Annette Gianinetti. Refreshments will be served.

The Yampa Valley Chapter of Sweet Adelines is learning new music for their February show. The perfect time to join is now. Practices are at 7 p.m. Thursdays at Sunset Elementary School. Call Ivy Davis at 824-5746 for more information.

6 p.m. A farewell party for Mark and Becky Gorham, who are moving to Louisiana after 25 years in Craig, is at the First Baptist Church, 1150 W. Ninth St. Bring a dish to share. Drinks and paper goods will be provided.

9 a.m. The Moffat County Humane Society will hold a yard sale as a fund-raiser at 827 Russell St. Donations are being accepted at 827 Russell St. Call Patty at 824-7945.

Wednesday, July 13

1 p.m. The Small Business Development Center of Craig will offer a free workshop on business start-up until 4 p.m. at The Center of Craig. To reserve a seat or for more information, call 824-7078.

7 p.m. A free puppet show, “Yampa River Critters,” is at 7 p.m. July 13 at the Children’s Amphitheater at Yampa River Botanic Park.

Friday, July 15

7 p.m. A Teen Poker Night, featuring Texas Hold’em, will be held at the Boys and Girls Club of Craig. There is a $5 admission charge.

Saturday, July 16

7 a.m. The Yampa Valley Landlord Association will hold a training session in the Red Cross Building. Call 824-7120.

Thursday, July 21

10 a.m. Shriners 16th annual fund-raising golf tournament starts with registration at Yampa Valley Golf Course. The tournament starts at 11 a.m.

5:30 p.m. Hayden’s Colorado Days The celebration features a Bratwurst Picnic at the park in Hayden.

6 p.m. The Yampa Valley Landlord Association hosts its summer picnic at the Columbine Pool.

9 p.m. Hayden’s Colorado Days Celebration Street Dance takes place on Lincoln Avenue in Steamboat.

Saturday, July 22

7 a.m. A pancake breakfast is sponsored by the Hayden Lions Club as part of Colorado Days.

11 a.m. Colorado Days Parade in downtown Hayden.

Noon The Northwest Colorado Shrine Club sponsors a barbecue in the park in Hayden. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and younger.

Friday, Aug. 26

6 p.m. The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life for Craig, Meeker and Rangely is at the Colorado Northwest Community College campus in Rangely. The event runs from 6 p.m. Aug. 26 through 10 a.m. Aug. 27. Call (970) 675-2300 to register.
