11 a.m. Moffat County Libraries story time takes place at the Moffat County Fairgrounds covered picnic area. Bring a lunch, sunscreen and hat. In case of stormy weather, call the library before 10:30 a.m. to learn whether the event has been canceled. This story time will be the final one hosted at the fairgrounds. Call 824-5116.

4 to 7 p.m. The Downtown Business Association hosts the Farmers Market at Alice Pleasant Park in downtown Craig. Local produce and products are for sale. Call Kay Jennings at 620-4917.

6 p.m. The Humane Society of Moffat County hosts its first meeting on the Trap, Neuter, Release Program at the Golden Cavvy Restaurant, 538 Yampa Ave. The group welcomes anyone who wants to humanely address the local feral cat population. Call Heather Lorio at 824-5438.

8 p.m. An open meeting of Craig Group One Alcoholics Anonymous takes place at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Call Bud at 824-1793.

Friday, July 31

8:30 to 10 a.m. Senior swimnastics takes place at the American Legion Post 62 pool, 1055 Moffat County Road 7. Call 824-3625.

9 to 11 a.m. A toddler/preschool playgroup takes place at Loudy-Simpson Park. Call Kevin at 824-1703 or Ann at 826-2717.

2 to 6 p.m. The Pink Positive Ladies workshop takes place at the Holiday Inn of Craig, 300 S. Colo. Highway 13. Tickets are $67, and all participants receive two books and a relaxation CD. Money raised goes to help a local girl pay for eye surgery. Call 879-7277.

4 to 6 p.m. Author Bill Reich signs copies of his book, “Colorado Industries of the Past,” at the Museum of Northwest Colorado, 590 Yampa Ave. He also will make a historical presentation about flourmills. Call 824-6360.

5 p.m. The Elks Lodge, 43 W. Victory Way, hosts bingo. Doors open at 5 p.m. Games begin at 6:15 p.m. Call Frank at 824-6131 or 620-0874.

7 p.m. Fellowship Group of Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 419 Yampa Ave. Call 326-6646.

7 to 9 p.m. Celebrate Recovery meets at 1150 W. Ninth St. The group is designed to help people overcome hurts, habits and hang-ups. Child care is provided, and late-comers are welcome. Call 824-5926.

Saturday, Aug. 1

11 a.m. Moffat County High School Class of 1999 hosts a family picnic at Loudy-Simpson Park. Children are welcome. The cost is $25 per adult.
