Today is the deadline to register players for Craig Parks and Recreation Doak Walker football. The league is open to boys and girls in the third through sixth grades. There is a $50 fee. Call 826-2029.

8 to 11:30 a.m. The Journey at First Baptist hosts vacation Bible school, called “Soul Survivors on Danger Island,” for children up to sixth grade. Call Sandi or LuAnn at 824-5926.

8:30 a.m. to noon. St. Michael Catholic Church, 678 School St., hosts vacation Bible school, with the theme Son Harvest County Fair, through Friday. Call 824-5330.



10 to 11 a.m. National Arthritis Foundation swimming takes place at the American Legion Post 62 pool, 1055 Moffat County Road 7. Call 824-3625.

Noon. Al-Anon, a group for friends and family members of alcoholics, meets at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Call Bob Woods at 824-6836.

Participate in The Longevity Project

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.



1 to 8 p.m. The Craig Swimming Complex is open for swimming. The cost is $4 for adults 18 and older; $3.25 for swimmers 12 to 17; $3 for swimmers 4 to 11; and swimmers 3 and younger and 55 and older swim for free. Call the pool at 824-3015.

2 p.m. The monthly AARP meeting takes place in the dining room at Sunset Meadows 1, 633 Ledford St. AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization for people age 50 and older. Call Beverly Chapman at 824-5123.

5 to 6:30 p.m. The Craig branch of the Moffat County Libraries hosts Family Game Night. The event is open to the public. Call 824-5116.

6:30 to 8:15 p.m. “Pulse,” a New Creation Church youth group, meets at the Centennial Mall, 1111 W. Victory Way. Ages 11 to 18 years old are welcome.

7 p.m. Fellowship Group of Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 657 Green St. Study of the Big Book takes place at 8 p.m. Call 326-6646.

7 p.m. The Craig Church of Christ, 795 Green St., hosts a gospel meeting. The topic of the meeting is “Christian Living in a Modern World.” The meetings are open to the public. Call Wayne Counts at 824-7886.

Tuesday, July 27

6:50 a.m. The Craig Rotary Club meets at the Golden Cavvy, 538 Yampa Ave. Visitors are welcome to attend. Pat Jones, of Love INC, will be speaking about area youth and needy families. Call 826-4444.
