8:30 a.m. The Moffat County Commission meets at the Moffat County Courthouse, 221 W. Victory Way. The meeting is open to the public. Call 824-5517.

11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A free hot lunch is served at St. Michael Catholic Church, 678 School St. The church is looking for volunteers to help set up and cook and drivers to help deliver meals. Call 826-2895.



Noon. The Craig Lions Club meets at the Golden Cavvy, 538 Yampa Ave. Visitors are welcome. The Lions Club is an international organization that provides the community with vision projects and eye screenings for area children. Call Al Shepherd at 824-6697.

1:15 to 3 p.m. Benefits planner David Nelson will present Social Security Benefits Basics and host private appointments throughout the day at the Independent Life Center, 483 Yampa Ave. Call the ILC at 826-0833.



5 p.m. Weight Watchers meets at St. Michael Catholic Church, 678 School St. The weigh-in begins at 5 p.m., and the meeting begins at 6 p.m. Call Susie Violette at 824-1956.

8 p.m. A closed meeting of Craig Group One Alcoholics Anonymous takes place at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Closed meetings are only for people with a desire to stop drinking. Call Bud at 824-1793.

Wednesday, July 27

9 to 9:30 a.m. The United States Department of Agriculture distributes food supplements at the Maybell Community Center. Call Meghan Rudd at the Moffat County Department of Social Services at 824-8282, ext. 11.

9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Aging Well Program sponsors Wellness Wednesdays for adults ages 50 and older at American Legion Post 62, 1055 Moffat County Road 7. Options include art, writing, and exercise classes. Lunch is served at each week’s lunchtime presentation. Call 871-7676.

Noon to 1 p.m. Communities 4 Healthy Relationships, a volunteer group designed to end relationship violence in Moffat County, meets at the Moffat County Public Safety Center, 800 W. First St. The meeting is open to the public. Call Anngie Sparks at 826-2329.

5:30 p.m. A meeting for women only of the Craig Group One Alcoholics Anonymous takes place at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Call Penny at 824-1793.

7 p.m. The Memorial Hospital Board meets in conference rooms A and B of the hospital, 750 Hospital Loop. The meeting is open to the public. Call 824-9411.
