9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Aging Well Program sponsors Wellness Wednesdays for adults age 50 and older. Options include art, writing and exercise classes. Lunch is served at each week’s lunchtime presentation. Register for activities before Wednesday. This event is held at the American Legion Post, 1055 County Road 7, formerly the Shadow Mountain Club House. Call 871-7676 to register.

9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association’s Aging Well Program takes place at the American Legion Post 62, 1055 Moffat County Road 7.

10:15 a.m. The Kids Nature Club will explore the Yampa River State Wildlife area halfway between Craig and Hayden. Call Robyn at 824-1703 or visit http://www.kidsoutside.wordpress.com.



11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents are invited to a salad luncheon – $5 all-you-can-eat – at the Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavilion to raise money for Amateur Athletic Union basketball. Call Eva at 824-4330.

Noon. A meeting for women only of the Craig Group One Alcoholics Anonymous takes place at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Call Bud at 824-1793.



2 to 3 p.m. The Express Yourself Youth Club meets at the Craig branch of the Moffat County Libraries, 570 Green St. The club, which is open to anyone between 8 and 18 years old, explores literary, musical and dramatic arts through books, guest speakers and other mediums. The theme of today’s event is making bandana bags. Call 824-5116.

3:30 to 7 p.m. Aging Well ages 50 and older swimming takes place at the American Legion Post 62 pool, 1055 Moffat County Road 7.

Thursday, July 16

11 a.m. Moffat County Libraries story time takes place at the Moffat County Fairgrounds covered picnic area. Bring a lunch, sunscreen and hat. In case of stormy weather, call the library before 10:30 a.m. to learn whether the event has been canceled. The Craig Police Department will make a presentation. Call 824-5116.

4 to 7 p.m. The Downtown Business Association hosts the Farmers Market at Alice Pleasant Park in downtown Craig. Local produce and products are for sale. Call Kay Jennings at 620-4917.

6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Hayden/Craig Caregiver Support Group meets at the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association office in Craig, 745 Russell St. The meetings are alternated monthly between Craig and Hayden. Respite care is the focus of the meeting. Call Karen at 875-1888 or Diane at 875-1891.

8 p.m. An open meeting of Craig Group One Alcoholics Anonymous takes place at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Call Bud at 824-1793.
