8 p.m. The Sweet Adelines and the Yampa Valley Chorus will host Barbershop Music Appreciation Day at the Village Inn on Victory Way. The mass sing, in honor of the Sweet Adelines International’s 60th birthday, is free.
Friday, July 15
Noon. Northwest Colorado Cares, an opposition group to the proposed nuclear waste disposal site, will meet at the Golden Cavvy. Call Terry Barrie at 824-2260 if you plan to attend.
4 to 9 p.m. A Colorado Cares project is at Moffat County’s first Habitat for Humanity home restoration at 745 Yampa Ave. The project is sponsored by the Craig Second Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Luther Church of Grace and First Congregational Church of Craig. Other community members are welcome to help with the project. Bring a main dish, dessert, hammers, crowbars, brooms and garbage bags. Drinks will be provided. 10 a.m. Shriners’ 16th annual fund-raising golf tournament starts with registration at Yampa Valley Golf Course. The tournament starts at 11 a.m.
