Guardrail operations on U.S. High–way 40 construction between Craig and Hayden were to be completed by Thursday. The heater scarification operations will begin Wednesday.

The Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association is accepting registrations for the 102nd annual Cowboys’ Roundup Days/ First National Bank of Steamboat Springs July 4 parade. The city of Craig, Moffat County and Craig Fire/Rescue are sponsoring a fireworks show, which will begin at dusk. The fireworks will be launched from the hill south of Moffat County High School.

6 p.m. A farewell party for Mark and Becky Gorham, who are moving to Louisiana after 25 years in Craig, is at the First Baptist Church, 1150 W. Ninth St. Bring a dish to share. Drinks and paper goods will be provided.

7 p.m. A free puppet show, “Yampa River Critters,” is at 7 p.m. July 13 at the Children’s Amphitheater at Yampa River Botanic Park.

7 p.m. A Teen Poker Night, featuring Texas Hold’em, will be held at the Boys and Girls Club of Craig. There is a $5 admission charge.

10 a.m. Shriners 16th annual fund-raising golf tournament starts with registration at Yampa Valley Golf Course. The tournament starts at 11 a.m.

5:30 p.m. Hayden’s Colorado Days The celebration features a Bratwurst Picnic at the park in Hayden.

6 p.m. The Yampa Valley Landlord Association hosts its summer picnic at the Columbine Pool.

Saturday, July 23

9 a.m. Register for the Yampa Valley Pregnancy Center’s second annual Walk for Life fund-raiser, which begins at 10 a.m., starting at The Center of Craig. There will be a walk and a 5-kilometer, run followed by a barbecue at the Moffat County Fairgrounds covered picnic area. Call Sandy at 824-5204 for more information.
