8:30 a.m. The Moffat County Commission meets at the Moffat County Courthouse, 221 W. Victory Way. The meeting is open to the public. Call 824-5517.

11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A free hot lunch is served at St. Michael Catholic Church, 678 School St. The church is looking for volunteers to help set up and cook. Call 824-5330.



Noon. The Craig Lions Club meets at the Golden Cavvy, 538 Yampa Ave. Visitors are welcome. The Lions Club is an international organization that provides the community with vision projects and eye screenings for area children. Call Al Shepherd at 824-6697.

4 to 6 p.m. Colorado Northwest Community College bids farewell to outgoing president John Boyd with a reception at CNCC’s Bell Tower, 50 College Drive.

5 p.m. Weight Watchers meets at St. Michael Catholic Church, 678 School St. The weigh-in begins at 5 p.m., and the meeting begins at 6 p.m. Call Susie Violette at 824-1956.

5:30 p.m. A Moffat County Relay for Life planning meeting takes place at The Memorial Hospital, 750 Hospital Loop Road. The meeting is open to the public. Anyone interested in being on the planning committee should contact Ken Prescott at 620-3292 or e-mail him at djkenny@yahoo.com.

6:30 p.m. The Moffat County Planning & Zoning Commission meets in the Council Chambers of Craig City Hall, 300 W. Fourth St. Call 824-9148.

8 p.m. A closed meeting of Craig Group One Alcoholics Anonymous takes place at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Closed meetings are only for people with a desire to stop drinking. Call Bud at 824-1793.

Wednesday, Jan. 5

9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Aging Well Program sponsors Wellness Wednesdays for adults ages 50 and older at American Legion Post 62, 1055 Moffat County Road 7. Options include art, writing, and exercise classes. Lunch is served at each week’s lunchtime presentation. Call 871-7676.

11:30 a.m. The Moffat County Tourism Association Board meets in the main floor conference room of Moffat County Courthouse, 221 W. Victory Way. Call 824-2335.

3:30 p.m. An Arthritis Foundation Aquatics class takes place at the American Legion Post 62 pool, 1055 Moffat County Road 7. The program is for adults 50 and older. Call the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association at 871-7676.

5:30 p.m. A meeting for women only of the Craig Group One Alcoholics Anonymous takes place at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Call Penny at 824-1793.

6 p.m. A senior parent financial aid meeting takes place at Moffat County High School, 900 Finley Lane. The financial aid process and local scholarships will be discussed. Call Paula Duzik at 826-6610.
