10 and 11:30 a.m. The Moffat County Libraries Craig branch, 570 Green St., will host story-times. The theme is winter.
6 p.m. There will be a financial aid meeting for parents of seniors in the Moffat County High School library. The meeting is meant to help parents with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and the scholarship process.
6 to 7:30 p.m. The Moffat County School District will host a Literacy Carnival at the high school for students in preschool to sixth grade. A parent or adult guardian must accompany children.
7 to 8 p.m. The Cancer Support Group meets at the VNA Conference Room. The guest speaker is Arin Koonce, a nutritionist.
Friday, Jan. 20
6 to 9 p.m. Orientation for Horizons Volunteer Ski & Snowboard Program is in the Roundup Room, Gondola Square, in Steamboat Springs. The program serves Moffat and Routt county clients of Horizons. Call Bette Carlson at 879-4466, ext. 116.

9 a.m. The Northwest Colorado Snowmobile Club will have a club ride. Riders will meet at Craig Middle School. All snowmobilers are welcome.

7 p.m. The Moffat County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity meets at the First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. The meeting is open to the public. Call Marilyn Bouldin at 824-5459.
Saturday, Jan. 28
9 a.m. Registration for the Northwest Colorado Snowmobile Club will have its Poker Run, which begins at the Freeman Trailhead. The Poker Run begins at 9:30 a.m. and encompasses 26 miles of groomed trails. The event ends with dinner and awards at 6 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars building. 10 a.m. The Hands-On Quilters will resume meetings at the Craig Fire Station. Call Cheryl at 824-2567
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tryouts for the Local Talent Concert of the Craig Concert Association will be in the Moffat County High School Auditorium. The talent concert will be at 2 p.m. March 12. Call Jim Simpson at 824-4138.
Monday, Jan. 30
1 p.m. The Visiting Nurse Association will offer a Breastfeeding Support Group in Moffat County. All women interested in breastfeeding are encouraged to attend, including expecting mothers. The support group is at the VNA’s Gold Conference Room. Call Erica Baker at 871-7656.
Sunday, Feb. 5
1 to 5 p.m. The Craig Bridal Faire ’06 will convene at the Craig Holiday Inn. The event will include 22 businesses offering services and products for weddings. Admission is free. The event is open to the public. Call event co-sponsor Magic Carpet Travel at 824-1951.
