Today marks the beginning of Lent. Masses will take place at 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. in English and at 7:15 p.m. in Spanish at St. Michael Catholic Church, 678 School St.

8 a.m. The Craig Downtown Business Association meets at Serendipity Coffee Shop, 576 Yampa Ave. The second Wednesday of each month is a meet-and-greet, hosted by a local business.

Noon. The Red Hat Pot Luck takes place at the Craig Fire Station. Bring a dish to share and your own table service and drink. Call Peggy at 824-2338.

5 to 7 p.m. SHARE Craig registration takes place at St. Michael Catholic Church, 678 School St. Call Karen at 824-7939.

6 p.m. Ash Wednesday service takes place at Friendship United Methodist Church, 657 Green St. The traditional imposition of ashes will be part of the service as well as Holy Communion. The public is welcome. Call Rev. Karen Gibson at 824-7939.

10 and 11:30 a.m. The Craig branch of the Moffat County Libraries hosts story-time at the library, 570 Green St. This week’s theme is stories by author Robert Munsch.

5:30 to 7 p.m. Comunidad Integrada/Integrated Community hosts an open house at its new office, 510 Breeze St. Tamales and refreshments will be provided. The event is open to the public.

Friday, Feb. 8

The Craig Centennial Poster Contest ends. All entries must be delivered to Pam’s Designs, 512 Yampa Ave., by 5 p.m. Call 824-8244.

5 to 9 p.m. The 13th annual Art Walk, co-sponsored by the Downtown Business Association and the Colorado Northwestern Community College pottery program, is in downtown Craig.

Sunday, Feb. 10

8:30 a.m. to noon. The Moffat County 4-H/FFA market beef mandatory weigh-in and tagging takes place at the Moffat County Fairgrounds. To show or sell a market beef animal or animals at the 2008 Moffat County Fair, animals must be tagged and weighed in on this date. Call the Moffat County Extension Office at 824-9180.
