8:30 to 11 a.m. Mothers Of Preschool–ers meets the first and third Wednesday of every month. The meeting is open to all mothers with children ages 5 and younger. Noon The Red Hat Society will host a holiday luncheon at the Craig Fire Station. Participants are encouraged to bring a covered dish or drink and a tree ornament to exchange. Call Toni at 824-2259.
3 to 8 p.m. The Northwest Colorado Stewardship meets at the Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavilion, 750 E. Fourth St. The group will discuss a community alternative to the Bureau of Land Management Resource Management Plan revision.

9:30 a.m. The Craig Book Club will meet. Patti and Pres Askew will review David McCullough’s “1776.” Call Marti at 824-5488.
10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Associated Governments of Northwest Colorado will meet at the Fiesta Guadalajara Restaurant in Rifle, 1214 Access Road. The association will discuss a variety of issues, including energy development in the region. Call the association at 625-1723.
10 and 11 a.m. The Craig branch of Moffat County Libraries, 570 Green St, holds story-hours. The topic is Rudolph, and participants will make reindeer art. Call Linda at 824-5116.
Friday, Dec. 9
Noon to 7 p.m. The Centennial Mall Winter Arts and Crafts is at the mall, 1111 W. Victory Way. Santa Claus will be at the mall from 2 to 6 p.m.
6 p.m. Craig Youth Soccer Association will have a sign-up and practice for indoor soccer in the gym of Craig Middle School, 915 Yampa Ave. The group will have four sessions in December and more after winter break. The cost is $25. Call Lashanna Cox at 826-2827.
7 p.m. The Greenridge Mountaineer Square Dance Club will gather at Hayden Congregational Church, 202 E. Jefferson Ave. in Hayden. Call Lois Norman at 824-6773.
Saturday, Dec. 10
8 a.m. Registration begins for the Elks National Hoop Shoot for boys and girls ages 8 to 13 at Craig Middle School, 915 Yampa Ave. The event begins at 9 a.m. Participants must show a copy of their birth certificates. To register early, call Jody or Dora Watson at 824-2251.
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Centennial Mall Winter Arts and Crafts Show is at the mall, 1111 W. Victory Way. Santa Claus will be at the mall from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
1 to 4 p.m. St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and Lutheran Church of Grace will hold their second annual Christmas Tea at the churches, 657 Green St. Tea, sweets and sandwiches will be served. Tickets are $5. Limited tickets are available at the door. Call Susie at 824-9633.

5:15 p.m. The Humane Society of Moffat County will hold its regular meeting at the Golden Cavvy Restaurant, 538 Yampa Ave. Also, the group’s calendars, titled “Moffat County’s Cutest Pets,” are on sale for $15. Call 870-7500.
