Noon Today begins the “Books are Fun” book fair at Craig Intermediate School library that will run through Thursday. The fair will be open until 7 p.m. and offers multiple copies of more than 200 titles as well as a variety of gift items. Proceeds will be used to benefit the intermediate school’s library and school. Call 824-3287.

5:30 p.m. LIFE, a weight-loss group, meets at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St. Weigh-in begins at 5:30 and the meeting begins at 6 p.m. The group meets every Monday. Call Joan at 824-6611 or Ken Fleming at 824-6806.

6 p.m. The Memorial Hospital will hold a community meeting at the Holiday Inn, 300 S. Colorado Highway 13. An advisory group will listen to residents who want to voice their concerns about the possible locations of the new hospital. Individuals who are interested in providing input but will not be able to attend should call Pam Thompson at 826-3109 or email tmhpr@amigo.net.



7 p.m. A banquet for all Moffat County High School football players and their families will be held in the high school. Players and their families must RSVP by Friday, Dec. 3 to attend. Please call Lorraine at 824-7941 or Kathy at 824-2706 to reserve seats.
Tuesday, Dec. 7

6 p.m. New member and parent orientation will be held at the Boys and Girls Club, 1324 U.S. Highway 40. New members, parents and interested community members are encouraged to attend. Call 826-0411.



7 p.m. The Craig Community Neighborhood watch, part of the Communities Overcoming Meth Abuse task force, will meet at The Memorial Hospital, 785 Russell St., in the cafeteria. This is the third of four consecutive Tuesday meetings to jump-start the community watch. All members of the community are welcomed to attend.

7 p.m. The Craig Performing Arts Project is having a theater group meeting at the Craig branch of the Moffat County Libraries, 570 Green St. Anyone interested in helping with technical support or performing in a play is invited to attend. Call 824-5116.

7 p.m. The Craig Snowmobile Club is holding a club meeting in the Moffat County High School library. All snowmobilers are welcome. Call David Bray at 824-4984.
Wednesday, Dec. 8
Wednesday is the deadline for the fourth annual Hayden Senior Holiday “Friendship” Tea on Saturday, sponsored by The Haven and the Hayden Recreation Board, at The Haven. Entertainment will be provided on the harp and piano by Andrea Erickson. Sign up by calling Lindsay at 276-3741, ext. 16.

10 a.m. Children’s story hour will be held at the Moffat County Library, 570 Green St. Another story hour will be held at 11 a.m. Activities will be after stories. RSVP by calling 824-5116.

4 p.m. Compassionate Friends meets at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St., in the basement until 5 p.m. The mission of Compassionate Friends is to assist families reach a positive resolution of grief after the death of a child and give information to help others be supportive.
