8 a.m. Colorado Northwestern Community College is taking students to the annual John Jarvie Winter Festival in Browns Park. The event includes demonstrations in pioneer crafts, including blacksmithing and rope making. Students will depart the Craig campus at 8 a.m. Participants from Maybell will be picked up at the Community Center at 8:45 a.m. Call Mary Morris at 824-1135.
9 a.m. to noon. The Ladies Mite Society’s Annual Christmas Bazaar is at Craig Christian Church, 960 W. Victory Way. The event includes fresh-baked goods, hand-embroidered pillowcases and other handmade items. Call Ina Faye Mack at 824-309 or Ruth Haskins at 824-6024.
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hosts its seventh annual nativity display at the church, at the corner of Ninth Street and Finley Lane. Enter through the north door.
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The John Jarvie Winter Festival is at the historic John Jarvie Ranch at Browns Park. The event is free and open to the public and features hands-on pioneer activities and a visit from Santa Claus. 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. A benefit dinner for Marge McKenzie and DeAnna Jacobs is at St. Michael Catholic Church, 678 School St. The price is $8 for adults and $4 for children younger than age 8.
1 to 7 p.m. Downtown Craig businesses host an open house. Visit participating businesses on Yampa Avenue and Victory Way for a chance to win a holiday gift basket.
5:30 p.m. The Boys & Girls Club of Craig hosts Cowboy Christmas 2010, an annual fundraiser, 1324 E. Victory Way. This year’s event includes dinner, silent and live auctions, Texas Hold ‘em tournament, and a performance by the 1340 Band. The price is $35 per person.
6:15 p.m. American Legion Post 62 hosts bingo at the Elks Lodge, 43 W. Victory Way. Doors open at 5 p.m. Call Mel Shockley at 824-3625.

4 p.m. Ducks Unlimited hosts a banquet at the Holiday Inn of Craig, 300 S. Colorado Highway 13, with games and social hour. Dinner is served at 6 p.m. A live and silent auction follow. Tickets are $50 per person or $75 per couple. Call Mardi Anson at 629-2380.
