Noon. The Craig, Dinosaur and Maybell Branches of the Moffat County Libraries will be closed today through Jan. 3 in observance of the holiday.

9 p.m. The Elks Lodge is hosting a New Year’s Eve Sleepover for children ages 1-14 in the Elks Lodge basement. The fee is $10 per child and all proceeds go to Laridan Hall. Please bring a sleeping bag, pillow, pajamas and playpens for little ones. The event will feature movies and games and a pancake breakfast will be served from 9 to 11 a.m. Breakfast also will be served to those who don’t sleep over at $5 a plate. No sick kids. Monday, Jan. 3
The Boys and Girls Club will resume normal business hours today and all activities will resume on Jan. 10 when work on the new gymnasium floor will be completed.

6 p.m. Craig Youth Soccer Association Indoor League will be held at the Craig Middle School Gym until 9 p.m. The adult league, for ages 14 and older, will be held on Mondays and Fridays and the youth league, for ages 5 through 13, will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tuesday, Jan. 4
Sign up deadline for The Moffat County School District and Grand Futures Prevention Coalition’s new program called Creating Lasting Family Connections. The program is designed to help youth be successful by learning to stand up for themselves and avoid alcohol, drugs and violence. The program will be available to CMS students and their parents at no cost and meets once a week for five weeks from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the School Administration Building, 775 Yampa Ave. Call Westley du Pont at 824-1022 or Cindy Biskup at 824-5752

5:15 p.m. “Ask A Lawyer Night” will be held at the Craig Branch of the Moffat County libraries until 6:30 p.m. Free 15-minute consultations with volunteer lawyers are available on civil matters. No consultations are available for traffic or criminal matters. This service is provided to low-income residents on a first-come, first-serve basis.

7 p.m. NOWECOS (Craig Snowmobile Club) will meet at the High School Library. All snowmobilers welcome. Call David Bray 824-4984.

Wednesday, Jan. 5
8:30 a.m. Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) will meet at Calvary Baptist, 1050 Yampa Ave., until 11 a.m. Cost of $6 includes breakfast, crafts and speakers. Children are welcome. Call 824-0101.

3 p.m. Quest Bible based activities program for children in kindergarten through fourth grades will meet at the First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. until 4:45 p.m. Stories, activities and a snack will be provided. Call 824-3039.

5 p.m. Registration for SHARE Colorado will be held at 678 School St. in St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
