Gov. Bill Ritter orders flags on all state and federal buildings be lowered to half staff from sunrise to sunset in honor of Marine Lance Cpl. Jose A. Hernandez, 19, of Pueblo. Hernandez was killed Dec. 14 in the Helmland Province of Afghanistan while in combat.

All branches of the Moffat County Libraries are closed today in observance of the holiday.

5 p.m. St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 678 School St., hosts a Christmas pageant, followed by a Christmas Eve service. The event is open to anyone.
