All branches of the Moffat County Libraries are scheduled to be closed for computer upgrades.

8 a.m. The Craig Downtown Business Association meets at Serendipity Coffee Shop, 576 Yampa Ave. The second Wednesday of each month is a meet-and-greet, hosted by a local business.

9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Aging Well’s all-day program, “Wellness Wednesdays,” is at the American Legion Building for adults “50 and Better.” The lunchtime presentation is “Living with Low Vision and Aging” by Deb Dunaway, OIB Program coordinator and job coach with the Independent Life Center. Lunch will be served. Call the Aging Well information line at 871-7676.

6 p.m. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary bingo is at the VFW Hall, 419 E. Victory Way. The event is open to the public. Contact Mary Walters, 824-2923.

6 p.m. The Elks Lodge hosts bingo each Friday night. Fifteen games are played with a minimum payout of $1,000 each night. The lodge is located at 43 W. Victory Way. Doors open at 5 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 15

1 to 4 p.m. Santa and his sleigh will be at the Wyman Museum. Picture opportunities are available. The Moffat County High School band will be playing music, and Wyman crafters will help kids make Christmas ornaments at no charge. Hot chocolate and cider will be available. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Santa Claus will be at the Centennial Mall, sponsored by DECA.

Sunday, Dec. 16

10:30 a.m. The children and youth of Hayden Congregational United Church of Christ will present a Christmas program, “Joy For All The World.” All are welcome.

1:30 p.m. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary bingo is at the VFW Hall, 419 E. Victory Way. The event is open to the public. Sunday bingo sessions occur every week. Contact Mary Walters, 824-2923.

5 p.m. United Mine Workers Association Local 1799 meets at the Center of Craig.

6 p.m. The combined choirs of Yampa Valley Baptist Church, 3900 E. Victory Way, present a Christmas Cantata titled “The Greatest Gift.” Refreshments will be served after the presentation. Adults will receive a 2008 scripture calendar and children get a goodie bag. The public is welcome to attend.

Monday, Dec. 17

9 to 11 a.m. Toddler/preschool playgroup is at Serendipity’s. Call Kevin at 824-1703.

2 p.m. AARP Chapter No. 1418 meets at Sunset Meadows I, 663 Ledford St. Featured guests will be the Mennonite Church youth choir. Speakers from the Independent Life Center will make a short presentation. Call 824-5123.

5:30 p.m. The monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Moffat County Libraries is at the Craig branch, 570 Green St. The public is invited to attend.

Tuesday, Dec. 18

6:30 to 8:15 p.m. “Pulse” Young group, for youths ages 11 to 18, meets every Tuesday at the New Creation Church in the Centennial Mall. Call 756-0010.
