Monday, Aug. 20

1 to 3 p.m. Moffat County High School hosts an open house for incoming freshmen and new students. Students are invited to come and pick up schedules, meet teachers and become more familiar with the building. Call 824-7036.

6 to 8 p.m. Craig Intermediate School hosts a Back to School Night. This is an opportunity for parents and students to meet teachers and tour the school.

Tuesday, Aug. 21

7 p.m. Comunidad Integrada offers a free English and Spanish learning club, Intercambio, every Tuesday at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig, 1324 E. U.S. Highway 40. Call 846-5521.

Wednesday, Aug. 22

8 a.m. The Craig Downtown Business Association meets at Serendipity Coffee Shop, 576 Yampa Ave. The second Wednesday of each month is a meet and greet hosted by a local business.

6 p.m. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary bingo is at the VFW Hall, 419 E. Victory Way. The event is open to the public. Call Mary Walters, 824-2923.

Thursday, Aug. 23

10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Story time at the Craig Branch of the Moffat County Libraries, 570 Green St. Today’s theme is “Moving and Groovin.”

3 to 6 p.m. The Downtown Business Association is sponsoring a farmers market at Alice Pleasant Park, off Yampa Avenue. Those wishing to sell their products need to take tables, change and price signs. Call Carol Jacobson at 824-5343.

7 to 9 p.m. Celebrate Recovery meets at First Baptist Church, 1150 W. Ninth St. Child care is provided. Call Caroline at 620-0659.

Noon. AARP Craig Chapter No. 1418 has its annual picnic on the northwest side of City Park. Chicken will be provided. Participants should bring their own table service, beverages and side dishes. RSVP at 824-5123. Leave your name and side dish.

12:30 to 6 p.m. A blood drive is at the Center of Craig, 601 Yampa Ave. For information or to schedule an appointment, call The Memorial Hospital at 824-9411 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Walk-ins are welcome as space permits.
