8 a.m. The Craig Downtown Business Association meets at Serendipity Coffee Shop, 576 Yampa Ave. The second Wednesday of each month is a meet-and-greet, hosted by a local business.

9 a.m. The Rally for the Cure Golf event will be held at the Yampa Valley Golf Course. It is a scramble format. There is a $40 entry fee, which includes lunch, prizes and a Golf for Women magazine subscription. The fee does not cover green fees or cart. The event benefits the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Moffat County Cancer Society. Call Susan at 824-9656.

Thursday, Aug. 9

Life Line Screening to detect arterial abnormalities, which can cause disrupted blood flow that leads to strokes will be at the Elk’s Lodge #1577 of Craig. Pre-registration is required by calling 1-800-324-1851.
