6 p.m. Boys and Girls Club orientation for parents will be held at the club. Orientation will be offered in English and Spanish. Parents must attend at least one orientation to enroll a child in the club.

7 p.m. The Friday night Co-Ed Bowling League will hold a meeting at Craig Lanes. Anyone interested in participating should attend. Elections also will be held.



7 p.m. The Moffat County School District’s Board of Education meets in the School Administration Building.

Saturday, Aug. 27



7 a.m. A benefit breakfast for Erica Manzanares and victims of domestic abuse runs until 11 a.m. at the Moffat County Fairgrounds. Tickets for the all-you-can eat meals are $10 and $5 for seniors.

10 a.m. Moffat County Mud Madness is at Loudy-Simpson Park. The event includes competitions in four-, six- and eight-cylinder engines as well as snowmobiles in side-by-side mud pits. Admission is $7 a person.

11 a.m. Hands-on Quilters meets at the Craig Fire Station. Call Cheryl at 824-2567.

1 to 2 p.m. Share Craig distribution day is at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Call Karen at 824-7939 or Laura at 824-7916.

7 p.m. The Moffat County High School class of 1995 will meet at the O.P. Bar and Grill for a 10-year reunion dinner. The buffet-style dinner is $20 a person. To RSVP, call Jolene Walls at 824-2214.

1 p.m. There will be an open house in celebration of Verna Miller’s 80th birthday at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St., in the dining hall.
