9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Aging Well Program’s “Wellness Wednesday” is at American Legion Post No. 62 for individuals ages 50 and older. It includes art, writing and exercises classes throughout the day. Lunch is served at each week’s presentation. To register for activities, call 871-7676.

Noon. A meeting for women only of the Craig Group One Alcoholics Anonymous takes place at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Call Bud at 824-1793.

6 p.m. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary bingo is upstairs at the VFW Hall, 419 E. Victory Way. The event is open to the public. Call Mary Walters at 824-2923.

8:30 to 10 a.m. Senior swimnastics takes place at the American Legion Post 62 pool, 1055 Moffat County Road 7. Call 824-3625.

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free cardiovascular assessments are offered at the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association’s Craig office, 745 Russell St. Tests include a full cholesterol panel, glucose level and body mass index. Call 846-9855 or 875-1880 to make an appointment.

9 a.m. to noon. Dr. Rebecca Dedmond of George Washington University presents “Freshman Transition Initiative Overview” for school administrators, principles, counselors, transition coordinators and teachers. Call Mary Ann Arguello at 826-6263 for more information.

10 and 11:30 a.m. Story-time takes place at the Craig branch of the Moffat County Libraries, 570 Green St. Miss Christy will read to visitors. The library will celebrate National Poetry Month at this time.

1 to 5 p.m. Dr. Rebecca Dedmond presents “Train the Teacher,” a seminar about how to involve parents in their children’s future success. The event is open to school administrators, principles, counselors, transition and swap coordinators, teachers and community partners. Call Mary Ann Arguello at 826-6263 for more information.
