9:30 a.m. The community playgroup for children 5 and younger and their parents meets until 10:30 a.m. every Friday at the Early Education Cen-ter in the Moffat County School Admin-istration Building, 775 Yampa Ave.
10 a.m. The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association is offering immunizations every Monday and Friday. New clients should bring in their records 24 to 48 hours before their appointments. Children younger than 18 must be accompanied by their parents or present a signed permission slip from a parent. Medicaid recipients should bring their cards. Call VNA at 824-8233.
11:30 a.m. Northwest Colorado Cares, a group opposed to the proposed nuclear-waste disposal site, will meet at the Golden Cavvy. 9 a.m. Sign-up begins for a cowboy action shooting match at the Bears Ears Shooting Range on Moffat County Road 7A. The match is hosted by the Northwest Colorado Rangers. A Rangers meeting is afterward at 9:30 a.m., and the match will follow. Dress appropriately.
10 a.m. Celebrate Car Care Awareness Month with Precision Auto Service until 3 p.m. Saturday. Certified ASE master technicians will be available to provide full car inspections for $20. Proceeds benefit the Craig Intermediate School color printer fund. Call Precision Auto Service at 824-8566.
10 a.m. The 2005 Celebrate Children Festival will be until 1 p.m. at the Centennial Mall in Craig. Booths will be set up with fun activities for children ages 2 to 8, and everything is free. Children earn punches for special door prizes and drawings. The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office will offer child I.D. kits. Children must be accompanied by adults.
