Dallas based investment firm purchases Colorado newspaper

merican Consolidated Media Inc. announced Tuesday it has bought weekly newspapers in York County, Maine, and San Miguel County, Colo.

The Dallas-based company did not disclose financial terms.

The Maine newspaper, the York Weekly, has published continuously since 1980. It was purchased from James Carter Publications Inc. The deal included a free weekly that is distributed in summer.



The Norwood Post in Colorado was founded in 1994 and was bought from The Post Serving All of San Miguel County LLC.

American Consolidated owns and operates newspapers in Colorado, Maine and Massachusetts.
