Criswell: To a great program

To the editor:

Thank you for Brian Smith’s great article and pictures of the Little Snake River Valley School’s football team you printed in Saturday’s paper.

Coach Bates is to be commended for the terrific job he has done, along with his capable assistants Scott Herold, Jesse Herold and Jack Cobb.

It’s remarkable the way they have taught football to these boys in only two years.

It’s not unlike the Phoenix rising from the ashes. I know because I played on a couple of those losing teams many years ago.

Participate in The Longevity Project

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

Credit and thanks should go the Mrs. Wille, the athletic director at the Little Snake River Valley School, for bringing football back to Snake River.

Her efforts and judgment are beyond compare.

If you want to see fast moving, pass throwing, punt kicking, high-scoring football, it’s at the Snake Pit in Baggs, Wyo., at 2 p.m. Friday.

Everyone should attend at least one game. It’s the most exciting football you will ever see.

Thank you.
