Wednesday, April 12

12:43 a.m. On the 1200 block of Barclay Street, a juvenile was cited for a minor in possession following a single-vehicle crash. The adult male driver was cited and released for driving under restraint, driving under the influence, lack of insurance and careless driving.

1:39 a.m. On the 200 block of West 12th Street, officers arrested an adult female on suspicion of assault and DUI. She was responding to the crash an hour earlier involving her brother, and an investigation led to her arrest for allegedly assaulting her 17-year-old son and his 16-year-old friend.

11:27 a.m. At the Public Safety Center, officers responded to a report of sexual assault.

12:03 p.m. On the 600 block of West Victory Way, officers took a report of a found syringe.

2 p.m. On the 400 block of Rose Street, a woman reported someone had stolen a pack of cigarettes from her vehicle.

4:07 pm. On the 200 block of West 12th Street, officers took a report of assault. The woman who was arrested for assaulting her teenage son wanted to press charges of assault against him.

10:47 p.m. At Walmart, officers responded to a report of a theft. An 18-year-old male came into the business with an empty backpack and left with it full. He had dark hair and a cartoon backpack and left on foot. Officers found him and issued a summons for theft of a bike light, three CDs including Led Zeppelin and Cat Stevens, five DVDS including the Three Stooges and a couple other small items.

Thursday, April 13

7:16 a.m. On the 600 block of Wickes Avenue, a couple of kids reported to a bus driver that they saw an adult male with a gun in his pocket. Officers could not locate him.

10:19 a.m. Behind Hibbett Sports, officers responded to a report of vandalism. Someone put a backwards swastika on the building in marker.

2:32 p.m. At West Sixth Street and School Street, officers arrested a male pedestrian on a warrant for failure to appear.

3:15 p.m. On the 800 block of Columbine Street, officers responded to a report of theft involving a juvenile.

3:34 p.m. On the 400 block of East Fourth Street, officers responded to a woman who wanted to report her neighbor’s bad driving. The two were reportedly yelling at each other, but officers couldn’t contact them.

5:03 p.m. On the 400 block of Rose Street, officers took a report that other items were found missing from the vehicle involved in a theft Wednesday. An interlock camera was also reported stolen from the 1972 Buick Skylark.

9:26 p.m. On the 1400 block of Sage Street, officers responded to a report from a female that she found a dope pipe in her house. She didn’t know to whom it belonged.

11:29 p.m. On the 600 block of Wickes Avenue, officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle. The caller heard a car start up, reported it had no lights on and it had been there at least 30 minutes. Officers contacted a female and she stated she was singing karaoke and was trying to keep it down for her neighbors, thus why she was singing in her car.

Friday, April 14

12:48 a.m. At Correctional Alternative Placement Services, officers responded to a report of domestic violence. A female was outside crying and knocking on the door of a resident. She had reportedly gone to the Popular Bar to pick up a male party and he punched her in the face. The male was arrested on a failure-to-appear warrant from another agency.

7:39 a.m. At the West Kum & Go, officers responded to a report of a suspicious pickup truck that had been there several hours, with a flat front tire and damage to the front end, with a person lying down inside and what appeared to be pit bull tied to the vehicle. Officers found the parties had permission from Kum & Go.

11:11 a.m. On the 900 block of West First Street, officers responded to a report of theft. A couple moved in with a rent-to-own lease and gutted the whole place, taking all the new appliances, cupboards and sink. Their whereabouts were unknown and the reporting party was unable to get a hold of them.

12:32 p.m. On the 1400 block of West Victory Way, officers respond two- car, non-injury crash between a dark blue Ford pickup and a black Equinox. Both cars were drivable.

1:21 p.m. At Craig Middle School, officers responded to a possible liquor violation by a student.

5:46 p.m. On the 1000 East Seventh Street, officers responded to a report of harassment by a female who was texting the reporting party asking for stuff and wouldn’t stop.

6:31 p.m. At Rose and Washington streets, officers responded to a drunk man who was kicking over trash cans over the course of several blocks. The man was issued a summons for having an open container.

7:31 p.m. At Craig Fire/Rescue, officers took a report of theft of a rifle out of a vehicle that was parked in the lot. The vehicle was locked, but no broken windows or evidence of forced entry were found.
