Crews begin installing new curbs at intersections across Craig
Curbs and gutters around 12 new traffic lights, at three highway intersections in Craig are getting a makeover.
The intersection at 6th Street and Yampa has been closed throughout the week as crews work to replace the curbs and gutters there. Crews were also busy installing lights and signs west of town at the U.S. Highway 40/West Victory Way and Moffat County Road 7/Colorado Highway 13 South.
The improvements are part of a $1.1 million Colorado Department of Transportation highway maintenance project. The money is from the state highway maintenance funds and does not come from county or city budgets.
Construction at the three intersections is expected to last until September.
