Craig’s Doak Walker football championships this week

In the same event for the fifth-and sixth-grade age group, the Cook Chevrolet Broncos will play the Hayden Tigers on Tuesday.

— The end of Craig Parks and Recreation's Doak Walker tackle football season takes place this week, with last week's matches helping determine the arrangement of the championships Tuesday and Wednesday.

Rescheduled games played Oct. 6 included the Victory Motors Chargers' 26-13 win against the Boy-Ko Supply Saints in the fifth- and sixth-grade age group. For third- and fourth-graders, the Craig Police Department Titans fell, 33-13, to the Hayden I Tigers, while the Broncos, of Three Sons Construction, beat Hayden II, 32-8.

As the two top teams of the season, the Cook Chevrolet Broncos and Hayden will square off Tuesday afternoon for the fifth- and sixth-grade championships, while the third- through sixth-place honors will be determined as the Hertzog Photography Packers take on the Victory Motors Chargers and the Craig Daily Press Vikings battle it out with the Boy-Ko Supply Saints.

In third- and fourth-grade games, the winner of a bout Monday between Hayden II and the Craig Police Department Titans will move on to play the Clarion Inn & Suites Raiders for fifth- and sixth-place rankings Wednesday, while elsewhere, Hayden I meets with the Intermountain Appliance Chargers with the winner going for the bronze.

Finally, the Three Sons Construction Broncos come out of a bye week straight into the biggest game of the year against the Masterworks Mechanical Saints for the glory of first place.

All games take place at 5:15 p.m. at Woodbury Sports Complex.
