Craig woman arrested on contraband charges: On the Record — Dec. 21 through 23

Friday, Dec. 21
7 a.m. In Craig, officers with the Craig Police Department received a Safe2Tell report. It was one of two such reports received Friday, and both are being investigated.
7:34 a.m. In Craig, officers investigated a suspected incident involving drug violations.
10:12 a.m. In Craig, officers investigated a report of possible fraud. It was the first of two such incidents investigated Friday.
11:09 a.m. In Craig, officers attempted to make a warrant arrest.
1:39 p.m. On the 700 block of Russell Street, officers responded to a hit-and-run crash.
2:15 p.m. Near the intersection of Russell Street and East Victory Way, officers made a traffic stop resulting in an arrest. A 37-year-old Craig woman was arrested on suspicion of first degree introducing contraband and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
6:21 p.m. On the 400 block of Taylor Street, officers investigated a report of an assault.
Saturday, Dec. 22
12:58 a.m On the 300 block of Colo. Highway 13, officers made a warrant arrest. A 35-year-old Craig man was arrested on warrants based out of Montrose County for assault and domestic violence.
3:07 a.m. On the 3500 block of Juniper Place, officers responded to a crash resulting in property damage.
7:40 a.m. On the 1500 block of B Street, officers responded to a hit-and-run crash.
9:58 a.m. At Walmart, officers participating in Shop with a Cop helped youths buy Christmas gifts.
11:04 a.m. Behind the old Safeway, officers responded to a crash resulting in property damage.
1:03 p.m. In Craig, officers attempted to make a warrant arrest.
1:37 p.m. On the 2000 block of West Victory Way, officers investigated an alleged assault.
9:04 p.m. On the 800 block of Breeze Street, officers investigated a report of a suspicious person, vehicle or article.
Sunday, Dec. 23
11:05 a.m. In Craig, officers responded to a report of domestic violence.
1:03 p.m. On the 500 block of Seventh Avenue West, officers investigated a report of criminal mischief.
5:36 p.m. Near the intersection of West Fourth and Barclay Streets, officers responded to a crash resulting in property damage.
7:07 p.m. At the Public Safety Center, officers assisted someone with a complaint of harassment.
Officers were unavailable to provide additional information about these incidents.
