Craig under wind advisory until 7 p.m. Tuesday
The National Weather Service office in Grand Junction has issued a wind advisory for Craig and surrounding areas, including Rangely, Dinosaur, Hayden, Rifle and Meeker through 7 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the advisory, winds from the southwest could be 20 to 35 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 50 miles per hour.
According to the advisory, maximum wind speeds are expected to arrive during the late afternoon. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects and tree limbs could be blown down. Traffic may also be difficult, particularly for high profile vehicles.
The advisory lasts through 7 p.m. Tuesday.
