Craig sports briefs: Rally for the Cure event is Aug. 12
The 10th annual Rally for the Cure Golf Event is scheduled for 9 a.m., Aug. 12 at Yampa Valley Golf Course, 2179 Highway 394.
The cost is $40, which includes lunch, prizes, gifts and a Golf Digest subscription. The cost does not cover green fees or cart.
All ladies are welcome and encouraged to wear pink. The money raised from the event will benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Moffat County Cancer Society.

Meet the coaches event set for Aug. 13 at MCHS
There will be an informational parent’s meeting and meet the coach night at 7 p.m. Aug. 13 at Moffat County High School.
It will be an opportunity for any student athletes wanting to participate in the fall sports season to ask questions and to make sure that all necessary paperwork has been filled out and fees have been paid.

Football equipment check is Wednesday
Players in the Craig Parks and Recreation Doak Walker Football league can check out equipment for the upcoming season at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Craig City Hall, 300 E. Fourth St.
Coaching assignments and rosters also will be handed out.

Tickets for Rampage in the Cage on sale
Tickets for the upcoming Rampage in the Cage fights are now available at Holistic Health & Fitness, 420 Breeze St.
Tickets cost $25, if bought in advance, and $35 at the door. Tickets for front-row seats cost $50.
The fights, which are 7 p.m. Saturday, will feature mixed martial artists from Craig and across the Western Slope.
Fights are at the Moffat County Ice Arena, 600 S. Ranney St.
