Yampa Valley Golf Course will host the Bronco Bash golf tournament and lunch Sept. 27.

The round of golf begins at 9:30 a.m. and is a shotgun start, four-person blind draw scramble that costs $25 per player.

Following the 18 holes will be a tailgate party and lunch at Tin Cup Grill as the crowd gets ready for the Denver Broncos’ game against the Detroit Lions later that day.

Youth antelope hunt contest available

Safari Club International Yampa Valley Chapter, Double H Outfitters and Villard Ranch will be giving away a guided youth doe antelope hunt to the winner of an essay contest currently available.

Participants must answer the following question in 125 to 500 words: “Why do I want to hunt?”

Entry forms are available in certain editions of the Craig Daily Press, and participants must include name, Hunter Safety Card number, date of birth, phone number, signature and guardian waiver.

Daily Press football contest underway

As the NFL’s regular season begins, the Craig Daily Press will feature an online forum for football fans to predict weekly results and win prizes by doing so.

Billiards league getting organized for fall

BCA Pool League recently began its seventh season at The Popular Bar, 24 W. Victory Way, and teams are still welcome to join.

The 9-Ball league takes place at 5 p.m. Sundays, consisting of three-person teams with a total of 5 players allowed on teams. The 8-Ball games are at 6 p.m. Mondays, with five-person teams and a total of eight players allowed on teams.

Players must be 21 and over and can qualify for a Las Vegas trip during both nights.

Yearly fees are $20 to play in both leagues and in all other events. Nightly fees are $5 for 9-Ball and $6 for 8-Ball, plus the cost of coins.
