Craig Sports Briefs for Oct. 29, 2014: Bad Dogs Wrestling hosting parents meeting Thursday

The Bad Dogs Wrestling program will host an informational meeting for parents interested in having their children participate at 6 p.m. Thursday at Craig Middle School, 915 Yampa Ave. Questions regarding eligibility, fees and other details will be answered.

Send-off for Moffat County football Friday

Parents, fellow students and members of the community are invited to send off the members of the Moffat County High School varsity football team as they head to Brush for the first round of the 2A state playoffs.

Those hoping to wish players well can join in at 9:10 a.m. on the south side of MCHS. The game will take place 1 p.m. Saturday at Brush High School and will be broadcast on KRAI 93.7 or on

Fall sports banquet scheduled for Nov. 6

The athletes of Moffat County High School’s fall sports programs will be honored during an awards banquet at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 6 in the MCHS gym. All athletes are expected to attend, and appropriate dress is required.

The potluck event will feature food and beverages provided by athletes and their families. The following teams are expected to bring the corresponding dishes, with each needing to be large enough for one dozen to two dozen people:

Football — Entrees

Volleyball — Desserts

Cross country — Side dishes

Boys golf — Ranch rolls

Cheerleaders and boys soccer, freshmen and sophomores — Salads

Rodeo and boys soccer, juniors and seniors — Drinks

Winter sports meeting planned for parents of Moffat County athletes

Moffat County High School will host a parents meeting for those involved in the school’s winter sports at 6 p.m. Nov. 10 in the MCHS library.

Winter sports include boys and girls basketball, wrestling and girls swimming.
