Moffat County High School seeks receipts for fundraiser
Local residents can help with the issue of school funding as Moffat County High School raises money in the weeks to come.
MCHS is participating in the AmeriGas School Days Program, and people can bring in their receipts from propane to join in the effort. For every gallon of gas accounted for, the company will donate two cents to the school in question.
The tally adds up fast, and last May, AmeriGas awarded nearly $2,000 to MCHS.
Receipts can be turned in at the school to Stephanie Ahlstrom, athletics secretary.
For more information, call 970-824-7036 or 970-824-4221.
Craig Trap Club offers weekly winter shooting
Craig Trap Club’s Polar Bear League is in action, and recreational shooters are welcome to join in the activity.
Participants can attend the shotgun sessions twice weekly, either at 6 p.m. Thursdays or 10 a.m. Sundays. Those who shoot regularly can also track their scores as the weeks continue.
The Trap Club is located on Moffat County Road 64 off US Highway 40, and those who get involved have the option of club membership for $60 for all included materials and building access or league registration for $60, complete with 300 clay pigeons while supplying one’s own guns and ammunition.
Practice rounds are $6 for non-league participants for 25 pigeons and $5 for those in the league.
