Yampa Valley Golf Course will host an open registration day starting at 9 a.m. Tuesday for its PGA Junior Golf Academy. The six-week program runs six weeks meeting Tuesdays beginning June 14.
Boys and girls ages 5 to 7 will have courses at 9 a.m., ages 8 to 10 at 10:30 a.m., and ages 11 and older will start at noon.
The cost is $75 per child, and parents are asked to provide golfers with sunscreen and water bottles each day. YVGC can provide clubs if necessary for golfers.

The program is open to ages 3 to 16 who want to receive instruction in the sport, with several options, including First Kicks, Mini Soccer, Half Day and the add-on session Golden Goal Camp available to those who sign up for Half Day.

Moffat County cheerleaders offer free clinic
The Moffat County Thunder Cheer team will host a free clinic June 27 through July 1 at Suite 119 of Centennial Mall, 1111 W. Victory Way.
Registration will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. June 27 with sessions from 5 to 7 p.m. each day.
Girls and boys who participate will learn basic cheer and tumbling techniques and will perform with the team in the Fourth of July parade. Parents need to sign a liability waiver before their child participates.
