Craig Sports Briefs for Jan. 10, 2015: Moffat County basketball hosts Saturday tournament
The Moffat County High School boys and girls basketball C-teams will play against Steamboat Springs, Coal Ridge, Battle Mountain and Vernal, Utah, during their home tournament Saturday. The Bulldogs will play each of their games at MCHS, 900 Finley Lane, while games between visiting teams will take place at Craig Middle School, 915 Yampa Ave.
Games will start at 8 a.m. at MCHS and CMS, with one each hour until a half-hour lunch break at 1 p.m., which will be followed by the final matches.
Deadline extended for Parks and Rec basketball
There is still time to sign up your child for Craig Parks and Recreation basketball. The registration deadline is now Monday for boys and girls in kindergarten through second-grade.
The cost is $40, and the season will take place from February to April. Those who register late will be placed on a waiting list with no guarantee of placement.

Bowling event takes place Saturday
Thunder Rolls Bowling Center, 990 Industrial Ave., will feature a scotch doubles tournament starting at 1 p.m. Saturday. Registration is $25 per two-person team, and there is no limit on how many times a person can enter.
There will be a 100 percent prize payback for winners.

Men’s hockey tourney this weekend
The Craig Red Dogs’ 21st annual Yampa Valley Invitational continues Saturday and Sunday at the Loudy-Simpson Park Ice Arena, 600 S. Ranney St.
Teams from around Colorado, including Steamboat Springs, Denver, Grand Junction and Eagle will attend, as well as from Wyoming, such as Casper, Laramie and Rock Springs.
The three-day event will culminate in a championship round Sunday morning.

Indoor soccer games offered
A series of indoor soccer games are available at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig, 1324 E. Highway 40.
Games are from 7 to 9 p.m., boys on Mondays and Wednesdays and girls on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Participation is limited to students in grades eight through 12.
