Craig Sports Briefs for Dec. 27, 2014: Craig Middle School girls basketball starts season in January
The girls basketball teams for Craig Middle School’s seventh- and eighth-graders will begin play in January. The teams launched practices following the boys’ season before winter break.
Jason Buhrman and Lauryn Calafiore will coach the seventh-graders, while Candi Hellander and Todd Hildebrandt will head the eighth-grade team.
The following schedule is for both grade levels, with the exception of games against Baggs, Wyoming, which will only be seventh-grade games. All events are subject to change.

Indoor soccer games begin in January
A series of indoor soccer games will be offered starting Jan. 5 at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig, 1324 E. U.S. Highway 40.
Games are from 7 to 9 p.m., with boys playing Mondays and Wednesdays and girls playing Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Participation is limited to students in eighth through 12th grades.
Water aerobics classes available
A new session of water aerobics exercise classes will be available from Jan. 6 to March 26 at the Moffat County High School pool.
Classes take place from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, promoting cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, body toning and water fun. Classes cost $4 per individual session.
Participants must be at least 15 years old.

Parks and Rec offers basketball for younger ages
Registration is now open for boys and girls in kindergarten through second-grade to play Craig Parks and Recreation basketball.
The cost is $40, and the season will take place from February to April. The deadline to sign up is Jan. 7, and those who register late will be placed on a waiting list with no guarantee of placement.
