The winter sports teams get their seasons underway in earnest this weekend.

Every sport but boys basketball will have its first regular season competitions taking place sometime between Friday and Monday.

The Craig Midget Hockey team has two games today and two more tomorrow, taking on teams from Foothills, Hyland Hills, Littleton and Regis. They are the only team playing at home this weekend, with games at the Moffat County Ice Rink.

The MCHS girls swimming team swam at Glenwood Springs High School, and will attend a meet at Aspen High School today, to see how it stacks up against Western Slope competition.

Meanwhile, the wrestling team will be in Grand Junction, at a three team tournament at Colorado Mesa University.
