MCHS having fall sports parents information day
Moffat County School District Athletic Director Rick Schmitz has scheduled a parent’s night for all high school fall sports.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. today and will give parents a chance to meet the coaches of the fall sports teams—boys golf, boys and girls cross country, football, volleyball, boys soccer and cheerleading—as well as discuss other information pertinent to the upcoming sports season.
A similar meeting is being planned for middle school fall sports, but does not have a set date yet.
Water aerobics classes at city pool end this week
Residents looking to get a unique kind of exercise can attend water aerobics in either shallow or deep water this summer.
Water aerobics offer a low-impact form of exercise, making it easier on bones and joints while still offering resistance to improve fitness and flexibility.
The classes run through Aug. 15 and will be at the Craig Swimming Complex, 605 Washington Street. Shallow water classes will be Mondays and Wednesdays during the summer from noon to 1 p.m. and 6-7 p.m. Deep water will be Tuesdays and Thursdays at the same times.
Those interested can sign up for an entire session ($45), both sessions ($80) or choose to attend individual classes, which will cost $4 each. For more information, call Craig Parks and Recreation at 826-2029.
Pool league in Craig begins Sept. 15.
The Craig Billiards Congress of America pool 8-ball league begins Sept. 15. League events take place at Popular Bar, 24 W. Victory Way.
For more information on the season, call 629-0436 or e-mail the league at email@example.com.
