Craig Sports Briefs for April 10, 2015: Deadline approaching for baseball registration
Parks & Recreation’s season for Craig Youth Baseball is coming up soon.
Craig Youth Baseball is available for ages in divisions of 8 to 10, 11 to 12 and 13 to 15. Ages 8 to 12 will travel to Hayden, Meeker and Rangely at least once during the season, while road games for the older teams will be decided later this month. A meeting for parents and players will take place before practice starts in late April or early May. Games will start May 18.
The deadline is April 15, and the fee is $50.

Dude Dent awards night scheduled for May
Moffat County High School will host its annual Lewis “Dude” Dent Memorial Award Selection Dinner at 6 p.m. May 21 at the Clarion Inn & Suites, 300 S. Colorado Highway 13.
The event honors the top male and female senior athletes for their prowess in both sports and academics. The Dude Dent is named in honor of Dent, who was a scholar athlete in Moffat County in the 1930s before being killed in action during World War II.
The evening is $15 per plate.

Craig billiards league scores — Week 20
BCA Pool Leagues has gone through 20 weeks of play, starting its season in early September at The Popular Bar, 24 W. Victory Way, with a Sunday 9-ball league and a Monday 8-ball league.
The 9-Ball league takes place at 5 p.m. Sundays, consisting of three-person teams with a total of 5 players allowed on teams. The 8-Ball games are at 6 p.m. Mondays, beginning Sept. 8, with five-person teams and a total of eight players allowed on teams.
The league is going into its final weeks of play before the city championships May 2 and 3, as the top teams face off for who will go to the larger event in Las Vegas.
