Craig sports briefs: Demolition Derby deadline extended

The deadline for drivers in the Moffat County Fair’s Demolition Derby has been extended to 4 p.m., Thursday. Applications and guidelines are available at the county Extension Office, 539 Barclay St.

The Demo Derby is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., Aug. 7.

More drivers are needed for the event. For more information, call Lewis Moon at 824-9568 or the Extension Office at 824-9180.

Young Life to sponsor golf tournament

Moffat County Young Life will host a golf tournament Aug. 1 at Yampa Valley Golf Course.

The format is a four-person scramble, and the cost is $200 per team, which includes cart fees.

Registration forms are available at the Craig Daily Press, 466 Yampa Ave., or the Golf Course, 2179 Highway 394.

Regular racing show in Hayden set for Saturday

On Saturday, the Hayden Speedway will host a regular show. Tickets cost $8 for adults (13 and older), $3 for youths 7 and older, and children 6 years old and younger get in free.

Tickets can be purchased at the Speedway, 37900 County Road 53.

Tickets for Rampage in the Cage on sale

Tickets for the upcoming Rampage in the Cage fights are available at Holistic Health & Fitness, 420 Breeze St.

Tickets cost $25, if bought in advance, and $35 at the door.

Front-row seats cost $50, regardless of when they are purchased.

The fights, which are scheduled for 7 p.m. Aug. 8, will feature mixed martial artists from Craig and other locations on the Western Slope.

The fights will at the Moffat County Ice Arena, 600 S. Ranney St.
