Craig sports briefs: 1st football scrimmage tonight

The Moffat County High School football team will have its first scrimmage at 7 p.m. today at the high school, 900 Finley Lane. It will be an inter-squad scrimmage.

The Bulldogs’ first game is Sept. 4, at home against Berthoud High School.

Rockies vs. Giants bus trip available to seniors

Craig Parks and Recreation is offering seniors a chance Sunday to watch the Colorado Rockies face the San Francisco Giants at Coors Field.

At 7 a.m., a bus will depart from City Hall and arrive in Denver at noon. The bus is expected to return to Craig by 9:30 p.m.

Refs needed for Doak Walker Football

As the Doak Walker Football season begins, Craig Parks and Recreation is looking for officials. Anyone who wishes to be an official must be at least 14 years old.

Starting pay is $18 per game.
