Craig sports brief for Nov. 10

The Craig Middle School boys basketball team kept its perfect season alive Saturday, dispatching host Rangely, 33-22.

The victory moved the Bulldogs to 5-0 on the season, while the loss dropped Rangely to 1-2.

Tyler Hildebrandt led CMS with 14 points, while C.J. Chavez and Zach Bocco scored six each.

“We tried to work the ball inside to Tyler a lot,” Bulldogs coach David Grabowski said. “It took them a while to adjust to us in the first, and then in the fourth, we made some good adjustments defensively.”

CMS plays the first of three games in three days at 5 p.m. Thursday, when the team visits Baggs, Wyo.


Guard Paul Laliberte was unavailable for Saturday’s game. : Grabowski said Chavez was limited in Saturday’s contest because he was sick.
