1:30 a.m. On the 500 block of Seventh Avenue, officers with the Craig Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance.
10:07 a.m. On the 700 block of Yampa Avenue, officers responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle. Police responded to at least 13 other abandoned vehicles in Craig throughout the day Thursday.
10:54 a.m. On the 700 block of School Street, police responded to a report of vandalism.
2:41 p.m. Police responded to two anonymous Safe 2 Tell calls. Both are under investigation.
4:58 p.m. On the 400 block of Sage Court, police responded to a report of theft.
5:05 p.m. On the 400 block of Ranney Street, police responded to a report of fraud.
7 p.m. On the 1000 block of West Sixth Street, police responded to a reported burglary in progress.
Officers with the Craig Police Department were not available Friday to provide further information about Thursday’s reports.
Forest Service investigates Independence Pass snowmobiling case after alleged culprit posted pictures on social media
The U.S. Forest Service opened an investigation Wednesday into a case of two men snowmobiling on snow-free terrain in designated wilderness on Independence Pass after receiving tips that one of the alleged culprits posted pictures of his illegal activity on social media.
