Craig police investigating young man’s death
Investigators with the Craig Police Department and the 14th Judicial District Attorney’s Office are putting their heads together to find out what caused a man’s death Sunday night.
According to a Monday news release, Craig police responded to the 1200 block of Lecuyer Drive at 1:20 a.m. June 16 to find a man down in the street. Officers said they arrived within two minutes and provided medical aid, including the use of an AED. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“The victim has been identified as a 26-year-old Craig man,” the release said. “The name of the victim is not being released at this time, pending further notification of family.”
The 14th Judicial District Attorney’s Office will be assisting CPD.
“An investigator from the 14th Judicial District Attorney’s Office and the Moffat County Coroner are assisting the Craig Police Department with an ongoing investigation,” the release said.
