Craig Parks and Recreation recently announced it will receive several thousand dollars from Denver Broncos Charities for the local youth football program.

The philanthropic organization with the NFL team approved a funding request for the Doak Walker tackle football league to receive $3,000 to support the replacement of overused and outdated equipment through the Broncos’ Community Grant Program.

The program provided about $150,000 to 30 programs across the state.

“The selected organizations encompass all five of the Broncos’ community development focus areas — youth development, quality of life, health and wellness, youth football and civic engagement,” read a news release from the Broncos office.
