Bulldogs move on to Soroco, Rangely events to finish season

The sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade squadron of Bulldogs attended the Centennial Braves Invitational in Montrose and the Carl Ramunno Invitational in Steamboat Springs Saturday, winning the former and placing fifth at the latter

CMS took seven top honors during the weekend with Logan Montgomery, Dylan Zimmerman, Dagan White, Daniel Caddy, Sean Byers and Drake Doherty each winning their brackets in Montrose, while in Steamboat Caden Call took first.



Among those taking the silver in Montrose were Kaden Cox and Miguel Zaragoza, who was unable to finish the Centennial event due to a medical concern, while Ryan Duzik and Tyler Fortune were each third, and Brock Hartung and Gage Kawcak each placed sixth.

Kael Poe, Jeremiah Ziegler, Justin Bell, Derick Herfurth all took second in Steamboat, Anthony Duran and Angel Bueno third, Pepper Rhyne fourth and Sophie Hough fifth.



The Bulldogs will round out the regular season this Saturday with Soroco’s Northwest Colorado Middle School Championships in Oak Creek, followed by districts March 19 in Rangely.
