Craig Middle School wrestlers conquer at Hayden tourney

Members of the Craig Middle School wrestling team hold up the many honors won Saturday during a tournament hosted by Hayden. Bulldogs won the event overall, placing 20 athletes, including eight first-place individual winners.

The Bulldog team of sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders took first place overall Saturday during the Northwest Invitational hosted by Hayden, nine teams attending.

CMS had an abundance of athletes, with eight individual winners among weight classes, some taking on their own teammates to claim the gold.

Dylan Zimmerman, Dagan White, Ryan Duzik, Blake Juergens, Tyler Fortune, Joe Neal, Daniel Caddy and Sean Byers each finished the day in first place in their weights. Taking second were Kale Poe, Caden Call, Anthony Duran, Slater Durbin, Kaden Cox, Miguel Zaragoza, Riley Nelson and Drake Doherty.

Kameron Baker took third while Gage Kawcak and Corey Scranton were each fourth, Daniel Cruz fifth.
