Craig Middle School staff: Thanks for TCAP help
To the editor:
Craig Middle School students and staff would like to thank The Memorial Hospital, Bank of Colorado, CMS Positive Behavior Intervention Support Team, CMS Student Council and all the parents that came in the week of TCAP testing to cook pancakes for our students.
Filling their stomachs with a wonderful pancake meal prior to the important week of testing is a great way to get the week started! CMS volunteers served pancakes to 300 students on both Monday and Wednesday.
We also would like to extend our appreciation to Bank of Colorado for donating bottles of water, “Bulldog Genius Juice,” to all students at CMS, helping them stay hydrated and fresh every day.
On March 14, CMS held a pep rally sponsored by our building PBIS Team. The rally was to help students get pumped up for taking the TCAP test and also celebrate our successes throughout this school year. Student/staff preformed along with declaring this year’s eighth-grade class of 2018 Spirit Stick winners!
In addition, the Craig Middle School Student Council provided ice cream cups to all students at their lunch Thursday to help break up the long week and provide a little extra treat.
Special thanks to our parent volunteers; Kim Patterson, Bridget Sanders, Heidi Dickhaut, Heidi Jensen, Jim Neton, Jim Ferree, Cindy Looper, Tami Barnes, Mark Brown, Lona Hillawaert, Mardi Anson, Valerie Kamzalow, Tammy Villard and Roxanne Nelson.
4:57 a.m. Near the intersection of Yampa Avenue and East Ninth Street, police in Craig responded to a traffic stop. A citation was issued to a driver, but police said no additional information was available Wednesday.
