Craig Middle School principal named
Moffat County High School assistant principal selected for job
After several interviews conducted Wednesday with Grabowski and fellow candidate Stephen Bollinger, of Nucla, district administration agreed Grabowski was the best choice for the job.
Grabowski has been the assistant principal for Moffat County High School since 2012, beginning with MCHS in 2006 as a math teacher.
He will replace Joe Libby in the position.
Renae Dove, executive director of school support and personnel for MCSD, was among the hiring committee members.
“He was an amazing candidate,” she said, noting Grabowski’s time at the high school as one of the positive traits he brings to the new job. “He’s been very involved in our curriculum work with Understanding by Design, and I think he has a good understanding of middle school development.”
Superintendent Brent Curtice said he was excited to have Grabowski serve in a new function in a new school.
“I think he’ll bring a genuine leadership and consistency that we’re all looking forward to for those middle school kids,” Curtice said.
Grabowski is currently out of town and could not be reached.
He will officially begin as CMS principal Aug. 1.
