CRAIG — Health care providers are collaborating with local schools to help pre-teens and teens gain the knowledge and confidence to make good choices for their health and wellbeing.
“Building a Healthy You covers those tough topics that are hard to have a conversation around, such as pregnancy, waiting to have sex, alcohol and marijuana use, depression and suicide and teen dating violence,” said Dr. Elise Sullivan, an MRH provider.
Building a Healthy You is a collaboration of community health, wellness and safety organizations.
The free educational series will begin with a session for parents from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Moffat County High School.
The parent session will be followed by sessions for high school students from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. Jan. 30, Feb. 1, Feb. 6 and Feb. 8.
“There will be prizes and food at each session,” Sullivan said.
